In the ferndays, Algery was known to Greeks and Roomers as Numidia, or Berbers. It was also known by the Feenishmen, who had built a town called Cartain in what now is nearby Tunisland. The Pounicks gave them an oath of selfstandship if they helped them throughout their Pounish Wye against Room, although Cartain lost and Numidia became a Roomanish shire. It was later overcome by the Wendles but was soon wrested from them by the Byzantines.
In the Middle-eld, Algery was overcome by Arabs, who made it a Muslim land. The Spanish built many strongholds in Algery, most of which were later forsaken or sold. It was overcome by the Ottomans in the H16th; in this time, the Berbers became seareavers so well known that the Oned Riches of Americk had a war against them to ward their trading ships.
In 1830, Frankrich overwon Algery, which became one of their landholds. Many French settled there, until in 1954 French foresitter Charles de Gaulle held a coring to answer clepes for selfstandship. The lede chose selfstandship, and much of the un-Muslim folk had to flee to Frankrich, for the Muslims were slaughtering them.
