The Anglish Moot

The Anglish Slang Wordbook is for gathering together all the slang wordstock.

"Slang" is not an Old English or Anglish word, it most likely has an Old Norse beginning. Slang has a free and lively way, often cheeky, headstrong, but as fleeting as a butterfly.  It is said that a tongue without slang would be a dead one. Slang is not wordy, but pithy, sometimes kenninglike. Full on, alive, always forthgoing, slang shakes us up and never lets us down with its newness and freshness, while working overtime in feeding English's wordhoard hunger.
