The Chicken is a behoused fowl afterborn from the red orwealdfowl. It is the most talrich of all birds, taling up to over 20 thrisand heads worldwide. At first, they were kept for cockfighting or besunder onsayedness, but nowadays the first of the two sakes, though still folkly in some lands, is often gainwendingsome or even unlawful. They are mostly raised as an orspring of food from both their meat and their eggs, and less often as pets. The bucks are known as cocks or roosters, the does as hens, and the young as chicks.
