Revision as of 23:05, 20 January 2011

This New-English Wordbook is for gathering together all the words in AngloUS/Anglonic ["Modern English", as opposed to "New-English"] and giving their match in New-English. Anyone is free to put in a New-English word and its AngloUS/Anglonic match, or even another New-English word if you cannot settle with the one already given. Do follow the layout the other words are already in, and bear in mind to put in any new word staffwisely.

The talk leaf is there if should anyone wish to ask anent a word, whether it is old or new.

If you have an AngloUS/Anglonic word for a New-English word that cannot be found, go to How do I say? to bring it to the heed of others.

Words that are not orange in hue, are words which are attested or implied. "Implied" means the word is made up of a bound wordbit and an attested word.

Do not take another entry out of the wordbook without first bringing it up in the talkleaf for that bookstave ("letter"). Once brought up, there should be general agreement on whether the word ought to be taken out.

For a list of etymological or other abbreviations used in these wordlists, see Forshortenings.
