The English Wordbook is for gathering together all the borrowed words in English and giving their match in Anglish. Anyone is free to put in a new English word and its Anglish match, or even an other Anglish word if you can not settle with the one already given. Follow the layout which the other words are already in, and bear in mind to put in any new word staffwise (alphabetical).

The talkleaf is there if anyone should wish to ask anent a word, whether it is old or new.

If you have made an Anglish word for an English word, go to How do I say? to bring it to the heed of others.

Words that are not yellowred in hue are ones which are dared (attested) or hinted (implied), "hinted" meaning the word is made up of a bound wordbit and a dared word.

Do not take an other forthputting out from the wordbook without first bringing it up in the talkleaf for that bookstave or rune (letter). Once brought up, there should be broad thwarehood (agreement) on whether the word ought to be taken out.

For a list of etymological or other abbreviations used in these wordlists, see Offshortenings.
