English, also known as Mean English, Anward English, Chancery English or New English when to be offsat from Anglish, is a West Theedish tung born in England in the early Middle Eld. It is now a mother tung for about 300-400 twofold thousand folk in Scotland, Ireland, Americksland, Canada, Southland, New Sealand, South Africa, and throughout the world. A worldwide bridge tung, it has as many as a threefold thousand learners with more than barebones knowledge of it. Other than Lowland Scottish, sometimes thought of as an undertung of English, it is most akin to the Frish tungs. English comes from Or-Theedish, but it has been greatly went from it in the wordstock, which has borrowed many words from other tungs, above all Old Norse and French (and through it Leeden and Greekish), and in the wordcraft, which through inborn shifting has become one of the most onefold of the Theedish tungs, along with that of Africanish. Holdovers of the bendsome wordcraft of Or-Theedish outlive in the selfly bynames and in the "-'s" ending, which marks kinship or ownership.
Since Old English was brought to England by Engle-Saxish settlers in the fifth yearhundred, English has undergone a great many shifts, some brought on by other tungs, and others not. The Great Clipol Shift is a forebisen, where the clipols in the words "bite" and "bout", which then clinked eachwise like today's words "beet" and "boot", became glides, making clipols made lower in the mouth become raised, sundering the clinking of the words from their spelling, yet bliving foretellsome. Many other, often less foretellsome shifts, have made outspeech hard to foretell from spelling, however. English once had a manifold layout of wordcraft, like that found in today's Icelandish, but through many shifts has lost wordcraftly kin and abying in its namewords and much of its deedword theednesses. Today, English instead notes word setup instead to get its meanings across.
