Erford (Theech: Erfurt, Theech outspeech [ˈɛʁfʊʁt]) is the headstead and widest stead in the rike of Thiringerland, middle Theechland. It lies in the southern bit of the Thiringish Watershed, within the wide dale of the Gera ea. It is found 100 km (62 mi) south-west of Lipsick, 300 tm (186 mi) south-west of Berlin, 400 tm (249 mi) north of Minks and 250 tm (155 mi) north-east of Frankford. Together with neighbouring steads Weamer and Jena it makes the middle mickleborough swathe of Thiringerland with roughly 500,000 indwellers.

Erford's old town is one of the best stuck-to-it mid-eldth stead kernels in Theechland.[3] Sightseer drawings inhold the Krämerbrücke (Traders' bridge), the band of Erford Headchurch and Severikirche (St Severus's Church) and Petersberry Hold, one of the widest and best stuck-to-it town strongholds in Europe. The stead's wealthdom is hanged on farming, wortcraft and smallsparkcrafts. Its middle spot has led to it becoming a yieldship hub for Theechland and middle Europe. Erford holds the twith-widest trade fair in eastern Theechland (after Lipsick) as well as the folk sightcast children’s channel KiKa.

The stead is laid down on the Kingly Highway, a mid-eldth trade and holy-wayfarer' road network. Newfangled day Erford is also a hub for ICE high speed tow and other Theech and European ferry networks. Erford was first spoke of in 742, as Holy Boniface begun the beadship. Although the town did not belong to any of the Thiringish rikes mootishly, it quickly became the trade kernel of the field. It was part of the Choosedom of Maint during the Holy Romish Rich, and later became bit of the Kingdom of Prussland in 1802. From 1949 until 1990 Erfurt was bit of the Theech Folkshiply Ledewealth (East Theechland).

The Lorestead of Erford was built in 1379, making it the first lorestead to be longstanding within the earthlorely swathe which shapes newfangled-day Theechland. It closed in 1816 and was a-longstanding in 1994, with the main newfangled lorefield on what was a teachers' tugging guildMartin Luther (1483 - 1546) was the most well-known learner of the body, learning there from 1501. Other noted Erforders inhold the mid-eld wiseman and wonderer Meister Eckhart (c. 1260-1328), the Barock maker Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) and the fellowshipman Max Weber (1864-1920).
