First Errandwrit of Peter

Head 1[]

1 Peter, being sent by Jesus Christ to those who dwell here and there as outlanders throughout Pont, Galacland, Capadoce, Asia, and Bethany,

2 chosen by the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the hallowing of the soul unto listening and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Giveness be with y'all and frith be overflowing.

3 Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who through His overflowing kindness begat us again unto a lively hope by the gainrising of Jesus Christ from death,

4 to neet an undying erving and undefiled and that dies not; kept in heaven for y'all,

5 who are kept by the might of God through belief unto health, which is areadied to be shown in the last time,

6 in which y'all shall be glad, tho now for a tide (if need be), y'all are in heaviness through manifold forleadings,

7 that your belief, once tried, being more dear than gold which forfares, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto lofe, wulder, and worthship, at the showing up of Jesus Christ:

8 Whom y'all have not seen and yet love Him, in Whom even now, though y'all see Him not, yet y'all believe, and frolic with mirth unspeaking and wulderful:

9 nimming the end of your belief, the health of your souls.

10 Of which health have the soothsayers undersought, and searched, which foretold of the giveness that should come unto y'all;

11 searching when, or at what time, the ferrow of Christ Who was in them should betoken- which ferrow witnessed before- the sufferings that should come unto Christ, and the wulder that should follow after.

12 Unto which soothsayers it was broadcast, that not unto themselves, but unto us, they should thane the things which are shown unto you, of them which, by the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven, have preached unto you the things which the boders lust to behold.

13 Wherefore, gird up the lendens (loins, OE lendenu) of your minds, be gleg, and trust flawlessly on the giveness that is brought unto you by the broadcasting of Jesus Christ;

14 as hearsome children, not clothing yourselves with your old lusts of unkowingness:

15 but as He Who called you is holy, even so be holy in all kinds of talking,

16 since it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

17 And if so be that y'all call on the Father, who without aboutness of being deems down from everyone's works, see that y'all go beyond the time of your wayfaring in fear:

18 For as much as y'all know that y'all were not gainbought with gold or silver that can perish from your naughtful taking, which y'all nimmed by the oldenways of the erekin,

19 but with the costly blood of Christ, as of a cleanlamb, and without spot,

20 which was astolled (ordained, OE ástellan) before the world was made, but was broadcast in the last times for your sakes.

21 Which, by His means, have believed on God Who raised Him from death, and wuldered Him, that your belief and hope might be in God.

22 And for as much as y'all have cleansed your souls through the Ghost, in listening to the truth for to love brotherly without faking, see that y'all love one another with a clean heart, earnestly:

23 for y'all are born anew, not of deathling seed, but of undeathish seed, by the Word of God which lives, and lasts forever.

24 For all flesh is as grass, and the wulder of weres is as the blossom of grass; the grass is withered, and the blossom falls away,

25 but the Word of the Lord lasts forever. And this is the Word which by the Gospel was preached among you.

Head 2[]

1Therefore, lay aside all wickedness, and all guile and faking, and nithecraft, and all back-biting,

2 and as newborn sucklings lust that forstandworthy milk, which is without wrecking, that y'all may grow therein.

3 If so, you have tasted how lithe the Lord is,

4 to Whom y'all come as unto a living stone, shunned by weres, but chosen by God, and costly;

4 and y'all as living stones are mad a ghostly house and an holy priesthood to bequethe up ghostly bloot, nimworthy to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Therefore, it is held in the Writ: "Behold, I put in Zion an headstone, chosen and costly, and all who believe on Him will not be ashamed."

7 Unto y'all who believe, therefore, He is costly, but unto those who believe not, the stone which the builders shunned, the same is made the headstone in the nook

8 and a stone upon which to spurn and a rock to upset those who spurn at the Word and not believe that whereon they were set.

9 But y'all are a chosen kinspan, a rikely priesthood, an holy folkship, and a lode that y'all should show the good things of Him Who called you out of darkness into His wondrous liht,

10 which in time past were not a folkship, yet are now the folkship of God, who were not under kindness, but now have gotten kindness.

11 Dearly beloved, I beseech y'all as outlanders and pilgrims: abstain from fleshly lusts that fiht against the soul

12 and see that y'all have truthful underholdings among the Unjews, so they who backbite y'all as evil-doers can see your good works and praise God in the day of calling.

13 Go along with all kinds of werebehests for the Lord's sake, whether it be unto the riker as they are the chief head-

14 or unto rulers as they are sent by Him for the scolding of evil-doers, but for the lofe of those that do well.

15 For the will of God is that y'all put to rest the witlessness of foolish folks

16 as free and not as having a freedom for a cloke of nithecraft, but rather as the thaners of God.

17 Ore everyone. Love siblingly fellowship. Fear God and ar the riker.

18 Thaners, listen to your masters with all fear, not only if they are good and fairspoken, but also if they are froward.

19 For it is thankworthy if a were, for heart's eye,withstand grief and suffering wrongfully.

20 For what praise is it, if, when y'all are beaten for you guilts, you take it forbearingly? But and if when you do well and you suffer wrong and take it forbearingly, then there is thanks with God.

21 For y'all were truly called hereunto, for Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an byspell, that y'all should follow the steps of Him,

22 Who did no sin, nor was their any misleadingness in His mouth,

23 Who, when He was spoken against, did not spit back, when He suffered, He threatened not, but betook the orsake to the One Who deems righteously,

24 Who Hisself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so we could be aneried from sin and could live in rihteousness; by Whose stripes y'all were healed.

25 For y'all were as sheep going astray, but are now taken back unto your shepherd and overseer of your souls.

Head 3[]

1 Likewise, let the wives put themselves below their husbands, that even they who believe not the word, may without the word be won by the talking of the wives:

2 while they behold your clean talking linked with fear.

3 Whose trimmings shall not be outward with braided hair, and hanging on of gold, or in putting on gawdy clothing;

4 but let the inner being of the heart be uncrooked, with a meek and still ferrow, which ferrow is, before God, a thing much set by.

5 For after this manner in the old time did the holy women who trusted in God tire themselves, and were hearsome to their husbands,

6 even as Sarah listened to Abraham and called him, "Lord"- whose daughters y'all are as long as y'all do well, not being afraid of every shadow.

7 Likewise, you men, dwell with them following knowledge, giving ore unto the wife, as unto the weaker vat, and as unto them that are erves also of the giveness of life, that your beads be not let.

8 In endsaying, be y'all of one mknd, one suffer for anther, love as siblings, be oreful, fairspoken,

9 not giving back evil for evil, nor scold for scold, but instead bless, keeping in mind that y'all are thereunto called, even that y'all should be erves of blessing.

10 If anyone longs after life, and loves to see good days, let him halt his tung from evil, and his lips, that they speak not guile;

11 let them shy away from evil and do good, let them seek frith, and follow it.

12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their beads, but the foreside of the Lord beholds them that do evil.

13 And who is going to hurt y'all if y'all are betaken to doing good?

14 But even if y'all go through hardships for doing what is right, y'all will still be called happy. Don't be afraid of their bullying, don't get upset,

15 but make an hallowed stead in your hearts for Christ the LORD. Always be ready to answer anyone who asks y'all about y’all’s hope, doing so calmly and arfully. 16 keeping a clean inwit, so that when they backbite y'all's good walk with Christ they will feel ashamed for having made fun of y'all.

17 After all, it's better- if it's God's will- to thraw for doing good things than bad.

18 For Christ also went through death for our sins once, the upright for the unright, so that He could bring us to God. While His body was killed, His poost was enlivened.

19 In which ferrow He also went and forquoth to the ghosts that were locked up,

20 who had long ago been unbelieving when God had forbearingly kept on waiting, in the days of Noah, when the ship was being built, in which a few- 8 souls- were spared of the water.

21 Now, christening- which this foreshadowed- spares y'all, not by getting rid of the body's dirt, but instead by beseeching God for a clean heart by the raising again of Jesus Christ

22 Who is at the right hand of God, and has gone into heaven, with boders, mights, and elderdoms having been quelled to Him.

Head 4[]

1 Forasmuch as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for all who suffer in the flesh stop from sin,

2 that they henceforward should live as much time as remains in the flesh, not after the lusts of men, but after the will of God.

3 For it is enough for us that we have spent the time that is gone by of the life, after the will of the heathen; walking in wantonness, lusts, drunkenness, in eating, drinking, and in foul offgodness.

4 And it seems to them an odd thing that y'all run not also with them to the same overness of crowdburst, and therefore they speak evil of you,

5 who shall give ledgers to Him Who is ready to doom the quick and the dead.

6 For unto this sake, soothly, was the gospel preached unto the dead; that they should be fordeemed of men in the flesh, but should live before God in the ferrow.

7 The end of all things is at hand. Therefore, discreet, and sharp, so y'all can be fit toward beads.

8 But above all things, have steadfast love among you. For love shrouds the muchness of sins.

9 Be homely to each another, and that without grudging.

10 As everyone has numb the gift, thane the same to each another as good thaners of the manifold giveness of God.

11 If anyone speaks, let them talk as though they spake the words of God. If any man thane, let him do it as of the craft which God gives to him. That God, in all things, may be wuldered thru Jesus Christ: to Whom be praise and lordship forever and while the world stands. So be it.

12 Dearly beloved, be not dretched in this heat, which now has come among you to try you, as though some odd thing had happened to you:

13 but frolic, inasmuch as y'all are partakers of Christ's sufferings, that when His wulder shows up, y'all can be merry and glad.

14 If y'all are railed upon for the name of Christ; happy are y'all. For the ferrow of wulder and the ferrow of God rests upon you. On their share He is spoken ill of, but on your share He is wuldered.

15 See that none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or an evil doer, or as a busybody in other men's businesses.

16 If anyone suffers as a Christlike body, let them not be ashamed, but let them wulder God on their behalf.

17 For the time has come that doom must begin at the house of God. If it first begin with us, what shall the end be of them which believe not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scantly be freed: where shall the ungodly and the sinner show up?

19 Therefore, let those who suffer after the will of God, betake their souls to Him with well doing, as unto a trustworthy shaper.

Head 5[]

1 I- who am also an elder and a witness of the ailings of Christ, and also a with-taker of the wulder that shall be opened- bequeath the elders who are among y'all:2 see that y'all feed Christ's flock, Who is among you, taking the oversight of them, not as though y'all were garred thereto, but willingly; Not for the lust of filthy gain, but of a good mind.3 Not as though y'all were lords over the gatherings: but that y'all be an show to the flock.4 And when the head shepherd shall show up, y'all shall nim an unfordone helm of wulder.5 Likewise, you younger ones, underlie yourselves unto the elder.
