Henry VIII (28 Midsummermonth 1491 - 28 Afteryule 1547) was King of England from 1509 until his death in 1547. He was the tother Tudor king, afterfollowing his father Henry VII. Henry is best known for his six reckonings of wedlock, above all his work to have his first wedlock (to Catherine of Aragon) foredone. His bickering with the Pope on the bidding of such a foredoing led Henry to start the English Edhewing, sundering the Church of England from holy fatherly headship. He deemed himself the Over-Head of the Church of England and broke up brotherhouses and sisterhouses, for which he was amonsumed. Henry is also known as "the father of the Kingly Fleet"; he ploughed heavily into the Fleet, swelling its muchness up greatly from a few to fifty ships.
