Iron Age Tools

These tools from the Iron Age show the manifold brookings of iron.

Iron is the twenty-sixth firststuf, with token Fe. It is an orestuff, and the Earth is rife with it. Iron is the most brookworthy of orestuffs, for it has great strength, even more so when made into steel by mingling with coalstuff. Iron is workd by blacksmiths, and has been mined since times of yore. When men first began to grasp the lore of ironworking, there were so many new toolcrafts at hand that the whole time is called the Iron Age. Lodestones are made of iron, and the iron heart of the Earth gives the world its lodestonish field.
