In the Middle Elds, it was the site of Old Prussish settlement Twangste. In 1255, during the Northern Cross-axfares, a new fortress was built by the Teutonish Knights. The stead became the headstead of the Heretogdom of Prussland and East Prussland (Bit of Theechland). It was heavily scathed throughout World Wye II and its befolking fled or was taken out by thrust when it became a Russish stead. as of the 2010 Marking, its befolking was 431,902. In 2018, Kingsbarrow will be a ferd stead to games of the FIFA World Cup.
