  • curprev 09:4109:41, 16 July 2022Noisy miner talk contribs 28,561 bytes +4 Listing ''Archaeopteryx'' as an extinct bird alongside the dodo is wrong on so many levels. It's not a member of the clade Neornithes, and it lived in the Jurassic. Birds only emerged in the Cretaceous. It also seems pretty strange that this wiki calls animals "deer", yet allows "bird" to be redefined as "avialan". The traditional meaning of "bird" certainly doesn't include ''Archaeopteryx''. It can't include anything outside of Neornithes. undo Tag: Source edit
  • curprev 09:2809:28, 16 July 2022Noisy miner talk contribs 28,557 bytes −4 "Pigeon" is the entire family Columbidae, not just subspecies ''Columba livia domestica'' (domestic common pigeon). It's also known as "dove" in English too. Also, it's not "binomial" name, it's "craftspeak" name. "Binomial" is both non-Germanic and has the wrong meaning. Species names, like ''Columba livia'' or ''Citrus limon'' are considered binomial. Other scienftic names, such as order, family, genus or subspecies, are not binomial. undo Tag: Source edit
