Low Saxish or Saxish or Low Theech (Low Saxish: Nedersakies, Leegsaksies, Plattdütsch, Nedderdüütsch, Platduuts; Theech: Plattdeutsch, Niederdeutsch; Netherlandish: Nedersaksisch, Nederduits, New English: Low Saxon, Low German) is a West Theedish tung that is spoken in Northern Theechland and the northeastern Netherlands. It is the tung of the Saxish folk and was widely spoken in yore, but is now on a downturn at the helm of Theech and Netherlandish.
It is the revetung of the following Theech boundlands: Sleswick-Holstone, Hamburgh, Nethersex, Mickleburgh-Forepommers.
Low Saxish comes from Middle Low Saxish which comes from Old Saxish. This leid is not to be mixed up with Upper Saxish, which is a Hightheech byleid rooted from Old High Theech and is spoken in the Upper Saxes boundland of East-Middle Theechland.
Low Saxish belongs to the Ingvaeonish bough of West Theedish leids. Low Saxish, together with English and Freesish, make up the Ingvaeonish bough. It is a deal of the Ingvaeonish bough since it did not undergo the Hightheech dinshift. It has 301,000 inborn speakers in all ethels with 6.7 to 10 micklered folk that can understand it.
Low Saxish was the leid spoken by most Prusses.
