Drawth
This leaf is a drawth wordwrestling a riddle or a wen that has arisen in the making of Anglish. See other drawths.

New Spellings are needed for some words in Anglish. These are words of Old English stem which have been misspelt in English, which owing to the sway of Frankish spelling in the forblowing of Nowtide English were spelt as if they were not Old English stem, but of Latin/Frank. It is now upon us to put back good spellings for these words. Words that do not stem from Old English are not inholded into Anglish by wordmark.

For byspel, the swotlesome mispelt word is "island" as it was thought to stem from Latin "insula", which it does not.

Feel free to put your own words in the list, with or without a new spelling. Or, if you can not settle with the new spelling given, put thine own in next to the others.

Put your own thoughts on talk for other to think anent. When everyone has settled on a new spelling for a word, it can be put to work over the whole Moot.

Heed: this is not the right leaf to put forward a whole new spelling for Anglish, that leaf is at Spelling. Only words with truly awful spellings are to be put here.
