The Old English Wordbook is for gathering words from Old English that did not overlive into modern english, and edstatholing (restoring) them, by applying to them the phonological changes that Old and Middle English went through to become modern english, and by giving them a spelling in keeping with that of Modern English. This wordbook is dedicated to giving new life to these regrettablly forgotten words, words that are worthy of being part of our Modern English speech. We lath (invite) all those familiar with Old English to add to this wordbook, and help enrich and lifen the English language through, by bringing these words back from forsakenness into acceptance. A reminder, only word of Old English outspring are to be added here-- this wordbook is not for coining new words from english roots, which can be done in the English-to-Anglish and Anglish wordbooks
