Eretide[]
Singapore was a British landhold from 1819 to 1963.
Singapore was once a thorp named Temasek. It was later found by an atheling from Palembang, Sang Nila Utama. (He may have been Parameswara) It became a seahaven as it was bestead along key tradepaths. It is called Singapore since Sang Nila Utama saw what he thought was a lee (Known as "Singa" in Malay) there.
It was then heeded by Stamford Raffles, who made a forthward with the elder of two brothers fighting for the highseld, on behalf of the British East Indy Business. He set up a free haven there. A few years later, they took over Singapore.
Singapore thrived. Many settlers from elsewhere came here to seek a better life. There were four main kinds of incomers: Chinish, Malay, Indish and Euraseyish.
Amid World War II, the Yapanish took over. The British sought to forstand Singapore, but chose to yield. The Yapanish infared Singapore by two-wheelers. Therein the Yapanish did more than a few harrowing undeeds, like the "Sook Ching slaughter". Yapan had a kernelblastle dropped on it by the OR and thus it gave up Singapore.
The OK was slowly giving Singapore more freedom after Singaporers were angry that they had given up Singapore to Yapan. After that, Singapore fayed with Malaysia, which did not go well. There were upheavings 'tween strinds, and in the end Singapore split off from Malaysia.
Lee Kuan Yew, fellow of the Folk's Deed Fold, made Singapore rich and thriving in fifty years.
