The reding body of the ethel is the Folks Deed Mootband, although there are others. Singapore has one of the harshest drug outlawings in the world.

Singapore is one of the Four Dawnlandish Stripecats.
Eretide
Singapore was a British landhold from 1819 to 1963.
(If someone finds this, please translate the text below into Anglish. I am interested, but have no clue how to speak it. So I'm giving a few more details in plain English for you guys. Please forgive me.)
-Singapore was a village called Temasek. It was discovered by a prince from Palembang, Sang Nila Utama. (May be Parameswara) It became a port as it was along the trade routes. It is called Singapore because Sang Nila Utama decided he saw a lion (a 'singa') there.
-It was noticed by Stamford Raffles, who signed a treaty with the elder brother of two brothers fighting for the throne, on behalf of the British East India company. He established a free port there. A few years later, they colonised the place.
-Singapore flourished. Many immigrants from elsewhere came here to seek a better life. This happened until the four main races were the Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian.
-It's time for World War Two! The Japs invaded. The British attempted to defend the place, but decided to surrender. (what else did you expect them to do, die?). also bikes. The Japanese committed a few atrocities here, like the Sook Ching massacre. Then they got nuked by the US and surrendered.
-The British was slowly giving Singapore more freedom after we got pissed that they surrendered us to the Japs. After that Singapore merged with Malaysia.
-It didn't go so well. There were race riots, and Singapore separated from Malaysia again.
-It's Peoples' Action Party time isn't it? Yeah, Lee Kuan Yew decided to make this poor city-state into a rich, prosperous one in fifty years.
(If you are not part of this community either, please do not get a bad impression of this community. I am not part of this community either, just a girl who passed by and was irritated at how Singapore, her country, had apparently nothing to it other than 'being a British landhold (I'm assuming 'colony') from 1819 to 1963')
