The Anglish Moot

Revetown vs Headtown[]

I think that Revetown should be Headtown because Headtown is easier to understand. One would look at "revetown" and might not be able to understand it without having to look it up. Vandiliser360 (talk) 21:35, October 2, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, I get what you are getting at; the problem lies in the fact that there are many ways to overbring the word into Anglish. This is a tough call—Revetown seems to be a more precise way to spell it (looking at the word's backtale) while Headtown is easier to understand and it seems to have been put forth by the crafter of the Anglish Moot. Perhaps a better compromise is to put Headtown into parentheses in the opening sentence as a way to acknowledge that there are more than one words being used, or it could be the other way around. On another note, it seems that one should write headtown in other leafs because it truly more self-explanatory. Luftlander (talk) 00:10, October 3, 2014 (UTC)
