Why is California not Californland? California is a made up name from a book (even though it rings like an arab califf, Calafia, the queen of the iland, was not arabic, but african) Squidonius 06:07, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Foreword from the Writer[]

Hello, I first started this leaf in 2011. For the sake of higher hallmark and deeper sweetling, I have chosen to overbring and overset the thing from Wikipedia, the Free Knowledgebook. The oversetting of the English name California to Kaliforn benotes a onefold shift of C to K found in most Theedish tungs, alongside an offhacking (English: truncation) of the greeken endfastening -ia.

(I moved this piece from the main page; this is not my writing.) Pasha3k (talk) 02:18, September 17, 2014 (UTC)[]
