Is there a reason to use Lipswick instead of Lipsick? As far as I can see the -zig ending in German has little to do with -wick in English. I propose the use of Lipsick as the name for this city, and use -wick in other circumstances such as Brownswick (Eng. Brunswick; NHG Braunschweig).

Lipswick is the name that was allegedly given to it in archaic English. Don't know accurate this is though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_exonyms_for_German_toponyms
